For day two of our time in Koh Yao Noi we decided to take another island tour to some of the nearby Hong islands that we heard were very picturesque. We found a great deal on a private long tail boat tour and loved having the whole boat to ourselves. Our captains name was Dee and he was a very nice and friendly man with a terrific smile and great sense of humor. He made our day pretty spectacular!

We loved the views of the island as we were leaving.
Our fist stop was to the below little island where we were able to go snorkeling, try out some new Thai fruits, and see a dead jellyfish on the beach.
From there we moved to another MUCH more popular beach where lots of tourists were also enjoying the beautiful islands. In fact it was so crowded that there wasn’t even a spot to park the boat. We had to “wiggle” our way in between the long line of boats to even get to the island. We had to admit though, it was a very lovely place and the sand was unbelievably soft!
Attempting to park between the boats.
On this beach we were able to do some more snorkeling and played in the sand.
Below Brans is shouting “best day ever!” from the top of his lungs!
Then it was back out on the water for some more island hopping fun!
We got to see some fun caves on the way which our driver said locals climb into to find swallow nests which they sell to make soup? Apparently it is a very lucrative business.
We were then taken to Hong island which has a National Park reserve on it. However, you had to pay to go in and since all the other islands we had snorkeled on were very cloudy due to the rough waters we expected this one would be the same. Looking back, I wish we’d gone anyway as it looked like the bay was very protected, but at the time it seemed better to just drive by and take pictures.
