4th of July BBQ and Fireworks

Cam and Erin’s ward in Redmond was hosting a big BBQ in order to celebrate the 4th of July and so we headed over there for some fun in the park.  The kids loved the playground and had a ball eating lots of yummy food, playing tetherball and hula hoop, and chasing each other down slides and across monkey bars.

Later that evening some from our group went to Bellvue to watch fireworks while others (me) stayed back with sleepy kids who had missed naps and desperately needed to be put to bed.  Below are some of the pics Erin and Adam took.

We sure do feel blessed to live in this wonderful country and are so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of the sacrifices and lives of so many others.  What a blessing it is to be an American.
