Adalynn 4 Weeks

Today Adalynn hits her 4 week old mark. I HATE how fast the time is flying by – but am trying to at least make sure I take lots of pictures so that I can remember how tiny and little she is. I am so in love with this little girl and love dressing her up, putting bows in her hair, and kissing her little cheeks off. She is my angel baby and brings so much joy into our family.
Adam and I have to laugh because Adalynn is a GRUNTER. If you pick her up she grunts, if she’s having tummy time she grunts, if she’s sleeping she will grunt. She pretty much just does it all day long. Its so cute and funny. We’ve started calling her little Gruntski!
She loves to have her hands up by her face – but is a SCRATCHER and gets her face a lot so we usually put her hands in little mittens and then swaddle her to sleep because she will wake herself up scratching at her face.
Her favorite awake time activity seems to be her play mat where she likes to bat at the objects above her. Harrison will sit and watch her and gets SO excited for her when she actually hits one. She also likes you to just hold her and talk to her and is getting better at making eye contact. This last week I even got her to smile at me – it was probably gas but I loved it all the same. If you look at the last picture of Adalynn that I posted you will see her smiling in her sleep.
Speaking of sleep – she is doing pretty well. For the most part Adalynn gets her last feeding around 10 pm and then will sleep until around 2-3:00 am. Then I usually get her up around 7:30 to 8:00. She then takes 1.5 to 2.5 hour naps in between feedings and still seems to prefer to have her eyes closed MOST of the day. She definitely is a sleeper. Below are some pictures of Adalynn at 4 weeks.

See her sweet little smile? I’m in LOVE!
