Adam’s 35th Birthday

To my dearest darling sugar plum dumpling buns,
On January 3rd you turned 35 years old!  We kept teasing that you are now half way to 70 which made you sound even older! 🙂  As usual we spent your special day eating all sorts of yummy foods.  For breakfast I made you cinnamon french toast and convinced you to work from home that day so that I could take you out for a birthday lunch!  Your chose to go to Magleby’s Fresh in Spanish Fork where you ordered your beloved stuffed calzone, breadsticks, and free chocolate cake. YUM!  For dinner we went out for Korean food with Mum and Smurf and my Mom and Dad (tanks for coming guys!)- which is pretty much a birthday tradition in our family.  At least that is where you seem to want to go every year.  You ordered “family style” for all of us getting all of your favorite dishes and then everyone got to sample all the different foods.  I sure am starting to like Korean food!
For your birthday you asked for a road bike – which we still have yet to get for you.  I spent some time researching best road bikes to buy – but life got busy and we still need to go through all the information and figure out which bike to get you.  You also really wanted to go skiing for your birthday so I booked our condo up at Wolf Creek for a 3 day ski trip back in January with the kids – but when Branson started throwing up the Friday before we were supposed to leave we decided we’d better cancel it.  We are hoping to go next week instead!
For your birthday dessert you always ask for some sort of ice cream cake.  This year though you decided you wanted me to make a peanut butter cheesecake pie I had learned to make the year before – but you wanted me to try mixing butterfinger up with it and then sprinkling it on top.  It turned out awesome and you were one happy man!
When we got home from Sam Hawks – we put the kids to bed and you requested that we watch two movies you had gotten from Red box, “Red Lantern” and the last “Harry Potter” movie.  I brought you up a slice of your peanut butter butterfinger pie during intermission with a tall glass of milk and sung the Happy Birthday song solo with a single candle lit for you to blow out.  You laughed and told me I was cute.  đŸ™‚
How very blessed I feel to have you in my life my Adam.  What joy you bring to me and our family.  Its so strange for me to think that you are actually 35 years old because I still feel like we are still those two crazy kids who fell in love in our mid 20’s.  Has it really been almost 10 years now that we have been together?  What a lucky woman I am that you are mine!  Being married to you has been such a gift to me and everyday you make me want to be a better woman.  I don’t know how I ever came to deserve you.  I love you so much Adam Clint Egbert – and I don’t care who knows it!
Happy Birthday sweetheart.  Here’s to being halfway to 70!
Love,
Bearaboochie
