For Adam’s real birthday he had to work, but I convinced him to work from home and we had fun celebrating off and on all day when we could. For breakfast Adam requested Burger King egg and cheese crescent sandwiches and then he had fun opening up his birthday present which consisted of a brand new posh sleeping pad for his yearly Wind Rivers backpacking trip (I even scored on that deal and got one for myself as well only mines not nearly as thick or wide as Adams). Later that evening we again did some celebrating by taking Ad out for Korean food at his favorite local joint called Sam Hawks. They had switched things around a bit since we’d last been there and we had fun looking for pictures of ourselves on Sam Hawks new accordion walls (seen in the middle of the picture below). We ended the night with homemade “shakes” (instead of cake) at Adam’s request. It sure was a fun birthday week. We sure do love our Daddy and are so grateful he is apart of our lives. Happy Birthday Babe! đ
Birth”DAYS” in our house have pretty much since marriage been lovingly referred to as birthday “WEEK” because man almighty does the Egbert family love to celebrate for as long as they can. đ Whenever I ask Adam what his favorite holiday is he always tells me his birthday and is it any wonder when you consider he got not one, not two, but three days of celebrating. Now thats what I call a birthday! As you may recall from one of my December posts I took Adam skiing one day during the Christmas break for one of his birthday presents. Then the next day I also lined up a babysitter all day and we had a “movie/eat out as many times as humanly possible” day to also celebrate Adam’s birthday and once again we left the kids home with a sitter. We started our movie marathon day out with lunch at Magleby’s with my parents and my 82 year old Papa, and then we took off to go and see Les Miserables with Mum and Smurf at the Payson Theaters. It hadn’t been near long enough since we’d last eaten so we then decided to head up to Texas Roadhouse where Adam got his favorite Ribs platter. Ummm good. The employees “ye-hawed” for Adams birthday and he got a nice free appetizer coupon as a little birthday present. Then from there we decided we hadn’t had near enough movie watching and so we headed back down to Provo where we watched, “Lincoln.” Adam really liked that movie and enjoyed a down day to relax from all the aches of pains of skiing the day before. It sure was a fun day!
