On Tuesday this last week we were able to go to Adam’s work at Adobe in Orem for their big annual Halloween fest. These have become a treasured activity for our family that we look forward to every year. Adobe goes all out (as do their employees) and it is always a super fun time. We arrived at 2:00 pm (after getting a speeding ticket a few blocks away) and then jumped in line to meander through the 2 different buildings and several floors of awesomeness. While waiting Adobe had jugglers, yo yo’ers to watch, snakes and spiders you could hold, the Jazz cheerleaders, and some acrobatic acts as well with men in tu tu’s and ninja outfits. It was so fun! Then they also had all you can eat soft serve ice cream cones (and sorbet), popcorn, pop, and churros. Yum. The boys thought they’d died and gone to heaven.
Once inside the buildings the creativity really began and each department did a bang up job decorating their area for the big event. We saw everything from Zombies vs plants, to the Olympics, Super Hero’s, to a wild west theme, Lord of the Rings, Peter Pan (which won first place and was my favorite), to the Hunger Games (which Adam’s department won 2nd place for). It was AMAZING!!! and very well done. There were also some more gruesome scary themes as well that scared the kids a bit – but they still loved it. We had such a great time. Afterwards we went and picked up my Papa in Provo and took him out to dinner at Wingers and then went and visited our old Bishop who works in the mall. It was such a fun night! Loads of pictures below.
Little Rapunzel. (Who only allowed us to put this wig on her for about 2 minutes)
Adam as a Viking? Thor? I’m not sure. Branson as a Werewolf, Harry and Dawson as cowboys, and little sis as Rapunzel. Cute!
Mommy went as a blurry pirate…er I mean scurvy pirate. đ
Pirates aren’t afraid of anything especially big furry spiders!
I loved the touch of the REAL grass in the office where they did the Hunger Games themselves. This is where the contestants could go and get “stuff” to survive near the pod. Adam’s department did a bang up job. Such a fun day! Love this family of mine.
