Alaska – Port of Seattle

.Note*** The next few blog posts are going to be completely out of order seeing as my laptop bit the dust in July (where these pictures were waiting to be blogged) and ended up at the Asus repair shop for over 4 weeks.
In early July Adam and I were able to take a 7 day cruise up to Alaska to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.    We somehow were able to convince my wonderful parents to join us on our adventure and boy oh boy did we have a fabulous time with them. We love any chance we get to spend time together.
We started our cruise in the Port of Seattle and were able to board our Holland America Westerdam ship around lunchtime on Saturday July 7th.

The first day we spent mostly just exploring the ship, eating out on the Lido deck, unpacking our suitcases, and getting settled in our rooms.  Because it was our 10 year anniversary both Adam and I and my parents splurged and got balcony suites which were absolutely HEAVENLY.  Our rooms were next door to each others and one of our favorite things to do during our trip was to open up an adjoining door to our two balconies and sit out and talk, read, or just enjoy the ocean air together.  It was blissful!

I always love the culinary creations you see around the ship on cruises.  So pretty!

Our Favorite Spot on the Cruise ship!  Our balcony!

That evening we went to eat in the anytime dining room where we all enjoyed the wonderful gourmet food!  Adam as usual got his two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts!  That man can EAT! 🙂

After dinner we headed to the Theater to see our first show where the performers on the ship did a variety of different shows to give us a taste of what we would see all week!
Mom and I LOVED the singing and dancing!

We loved coming back to our room to our first of many towel creations!

It was a wonderful first day on the ship!
