Our last day with Cam and Erin we thought it would be fun to take the kids to the dollar movies in downtown Redmond. The power was scheduled to go out from 9 am to 5 pm that day so it seemed like the perfect thing to do. So after a quick breakfast and packing up our bags for leg two of our Washington trip we were off for the city. Everyone else must have also had the same idea we did though because traffic was crazy. We got super lucky though and because of our delay we were able to hit the movies just right and make it into an “overflow theater” that was completely empty so we got our pick of spots and the best seats in the house. It was also nice too because their were bars in front of us that our two toddlers could play on which entertained them when the movie didn’t. Below are a few pics of the kids while we were waiting for everyone to use the restroom after the show.
Brans, Harry, Daws, and Addy playing with the movie cutouts.
From there we headed down the street a bit to a nearby farmers market that was going on. We got to place a climbing gym on the way and it had some great kid friendly sculptures for the kids to play on. They had a blast!
The kids were mesmerized by this tiny cute dog a lady had brought to the market and she was nice enough to let all the kids pet her dog. Harry liked it so much he begged for a picture.
We called Adam (who was working across the street at the library) about this time and he came and picked us up so we could head out for the 2nd part of our vacation – that of going to our condo in Leavenworth which was 2 hours away. So we headed home to pack up our car and head out.
Right before leaving for Leavenworth though we were able to meet up with Erin and the kids to say our goodbyes. It sure was a fun week spent with them and we can’t wait to continue our fun next month backpacking in the Wind Rivers. Thanks again you guys for hosting us all week, taking us to so many fun places, and making our vacation one we will always remember! We love you guys so much!
