Ambers Birthday at Date with Dawson

While Adam was in India we decided it was a good idea to set me up some nights of babysitters so that I could get away and get some breaks from the kids in order to keep my sanity intact.  So twice a week I was able to go and do some fun things.  One of the nights I was able to go out with some of my ward friends (Lori Muir, Susan Millet, and Tessa Bradley) where we went to dinner at Tsing Tao here in Payson and then out for ice cream in Salem and then another night I was able to join up with my side of the family to celebrate my niece Ambers birthday at Chuck-a-rama.  I had originally planned to take my boys out on a date but we decided to change plans up a bit and join them.  Dawson had filled up his marble jar (a reward system we do) and for his prize he wanted a night out with Mom to dinner and a movie (with popcorn) so Daws was my date that night!  (and a cute one at that!)
I took him to the dollar store where he picked out a prize and then we headed over to Chuck-a-rama for some good food and time with family.  My Mom and Dad were able to come down along with my Papa who lives in a rest home in Provo.
I had to laugh because I told Dawson he could have anything he wanted for dinner.  His first plate he filled up on jello, and fruit.  Then he went back for ice cream, cakes, and cookies.  But his favorite was eating all the MEAT off my plate.  We don’t do meat a lot in our family so I splurged that night and tried each of the meats (turkey, ham, and roast beef).  And even though Daws had a plate full of goodies and ice cream, all he wanted was to keep snacking off the ham, turkey and roast beef on my plate.  I eventually just went and got him a plate of his own and he TOOK IT DOWN!  Crazy kid.  He sure had a good time though and loved having Mom all to himself.
We snuck out of dinner a little earlier than everyone else to head out to our movie where we saw “Escape from Planet Earth” (Dawsons choice).  I also got him some popcorn as promised but had to laugh when he was so GLUED to the movie that he didn’t eat a single kernal of popcorn.  I kept handing him the popcorn and asking if he wanted any, and he was just so into the movie that I never got a response.  We ended up taking the entire bag home.  Ha ha!
And as is customary/tradition in our family we of course went up after the movie and had a dance party up by the screen.  We love doing this and always have such a great time going crazy in the theater.  Luckily this time there were no spectators to see our madness.  Sure was fun! Below are some pics from our time at Chuck-a-rama.
