Cami’s Wedding Reception / High School Reunion

Earlier last week I was able to go to the wedding reception of one of my favorite friends – Cami Pulham. She and I started out as friends in High School, wrote each other weekly emails in College (she was at Utah State and I was at UVSC), and then later attended the same singles ward in American Fork.

Cami was also the woman who introduced me to rock climbing. She had a friend she worked with up A.F. Canyon that worked at the old “Rock Garden” and he would let us in free anytime he worked. Therefore, we started rock climbing WEEKLY, and it was so fun to spend so much time with Cami.

I still remember our first time rock climbing. We were told by Randy (Cami’s friend the worked at the Rock Garden) to only climb for about 45 minutes since it was our first time. However, we couldn’t get enough of climbing that first night and thought it was so fun that FOUR hours later we finally decided to be done. Only problem was…our muscles were so thrashed that we couldn’t GRAB/GRASP anything. Meaning we couldn’t get our fingers to close. They were stuck wide open. This ended up requiring us to ASK someone to help us unlock my car (before the days of key-less entry) since we couldn’t get our fingers to fold in far enough to actually GRAB the key and turn. This also proved to be challenging DRIVING home (since I couldn’t curl my fingers around the steering wheel) and so I drove with my two wrists on the steering wheel. My favorite memory of the night though was going to McDonalds for ice cream cones and again not being able to actually TAKE the ice cream cones from the cash register. She had to place them between our wrists while we helplessly tried licking them. We were laughing so hard.

So it made my heart sing when I received the announcement in the mail that my dear friend Cami was getting married. I was also so excited to attend her reception because I knew it would bring in old friends from High School that I hadn’t seen in YEARS. It truly ended up being such a fun night for me! Below are some pictures from the evening.

All of us High School friends together

My good friends Alisha Bennett and Amy Powell came later.
It was so fun to catch up with them!

Also not pictured was getting to see Sarah Smith, Amy Christoffersen, Jared Pulham, Katy Worlton, and Katie Barton from High School. It was such a fun reunion! And I couldn’t be happier for Cami! Congratulations Girl! I LOVE YOU!
