On day two of the cruise we had our first stop on Catalina Island. We were able to join up with Mum and Smurf, Dean and Janet and fam, and the Schaaps for breakfast before heading out to the island. We again had to laugh when the kids each took turns telling us they had to go to the bathroom. Adam would leave with one only to come back and I would have to take off to the bathroom with another. I think it was about this time that we made our rule on the cruise. When one person has to use the bathroom – we all have to go. This took our bathroom breaks down from 3 to 1 per meal which was quite the improvement! đ
The boys opted to go to camp carnival for a day of fun on the boat and so Adam and Adalynn and I decided to go and explore the island a bit. We took a little shuttle boat from the cruiseship to the pier in Catalina.
It was a pretty overcast day, but still very pretty. I loved all the different colors of houses against the mountains.

It was about this time that we got a text from Mum and Smurf asking us where we were. We ended up waiting for them here on the beach and then they and Steve, Marcie, and Robbie joined up with us and we took another little walk on the other side of town. Catalina is quite small so it didn’t take long. Unfortunately I forgot to take more pics after we all met up.
