I think I may like the day after Thanksgiving almost as much as Thanksgiving itself because it means that it is time to put up the Christmas Tree! I so love this tradition and love cranking the Christmas music, drinking egg nog, and spending an afternoon with my little ones “getting into the Christmas spirit.” I especially loved when Manhatten Steamroller came on the radio as we turned the lights on the tree for the first time because that is usually what my Mom had playing growing up. It brought back so many wonderful memories. I truly love when Christmas season begins!

This little guy preferred being more of a “spectator.”

Our beautiful tree!
Afterwards we spent the rest of the afternoon putting up lights outside. Adam got creative this year and hung a big string of lights in the back of our house making a big “smile” and then put up lights in two windows making eyes for a HUGE smiley face. I love it and it made me happy as I drove into our neighborhood last night!
Adam was also my hero and put up lights over the garage this year (I was too chicken to do it last year by myself). Here he is sitting on top of the house!
