Christmas Morning

Since we are hoping to be spending Christmas with family (if the weather cooperates) we decided to also do Christmas early so that we wouldn’t need to lug all our presents around. The boys weren’t too upset about it and really didn’t know any different.

As usual I couldn’t sleep all night being SO EXCITED for the boys reaction and woke up probably about a gazillion times all night looking at the clock, but by 7:30 I just couldn’t stand it any longer and decided to get up and ready for the day. Dawson woke up around then and came and snuggled with Adam and I in bed and then I went and started making some morning hot coco for everyone. It was too hard keeping Dawson out of the living room and from seeing presents, so we decided NOT to wait for Harrison and Brans to wake up and instead went upstairs to wake them. The rule is that they can’t come downstairs until we are all together (and the camera is ready) so here they are sitting at the top of the stairs waiting patiently to go down and see what Santa brought them. Love their little faces.

Then the big moment finally arrived and shouts of glee and “what the heck?” (from Branson) were heard as the boys rounded the corner of the stairs. They each ran to their stocking and were so excited and kept asking, “how did Santa know I wanted this?”

Branson with the Robot he asked for and some fun Iron Man and Darth Vador dress up clothes.

Harrison in front of his stocking. He received a Thomas the Train set and Superman, Spongebob, and Poo Bear dress up clothes.

The Train Table is for all the boys to share and then Adam and I got each boy their own Engine. Branson got Henry (because his favorite color is green), Harrison got Thomas, and Dawson got Rosie (cause Mom thought there should be a girl train! ha ha)

Dawson got a new mini Quad bike and lots of new cars!

Adam got LOTS and LOTS of new stuff for our Halloween including a Avatar costume, Batman costume, Darth Vador costume, Viking costume, and Money man costume. He also got 4 different pairs of earphones (that’s what he wanted!) a waffle maker, and a emergency radio/flashlight/cell phone charger.

Mum and Smurf came to join us Christmas morning and stayed for a yummy breakfast of egg, bacon, and cheese biscuits.

Harry in his Spiderman costume

These two look like they could be twins!

Adam also gave the boys this fun little mouse trap that he made at Halloween. He thought it would be fun for them to play in/with. For Christmas I got new framed family pictures, a new wedding ring, jewelry, scarfs, and some new pans! Santa was very generous!

And at the bottom of each stocking we always get an orange (tradition in Adam’s family) to remind us all of how bountifully we are blessed (back in Adam’s Grandma’s day thats’ all they would get in their stockings.” The rest of the day we spent playing with the trains, playing wii, and with all the other toys. Then my wonderful parents joined us for a turkey dinner that evening. It was such a magical day for us! Hope you all enjoy yours tomorrow!
Merry Christmas!
