Every Saturday we do jobs in our family to clean our house. The kids usually do the easy stuff like cleaning up their rooms, tidying up the playroom, dusting, etc. And then Adam and I usually do the harder items like bathrooms and floors. This last Saturday Adam was kind enough to do the bathrooms while I hurried to get everything ready for Branson’s birthday party we were having that day and a friends BBQ we were hosting that night. Apparently Dawson didn’t think Adam did a good enough job though because later (after all our company had left) I caught Dawson in our downstairs bathroom scrubbing away. He had already thoroughly cleaned the toilet, the walls, the sink and faucet, the floors and was working on the door when I found him. What a sweet little boy eh? Now I just need to teach him how to use a RAG to clean instead of the TOILET BOWL BRUSH! Talk about Gross! Needless to say that bathroom sure got cleaned a lot that day!
Then today as we were driving through Provo on our way to dinner we passed the cute little store Adam bought my wedding ring in called Goldsmith Jewelers. I pointed the store out to the boys and then asked them, “did I ever tell you how Daddy proposed to me?” They hadn’t heard the tale (or remembered it) so I told them of all the wonderful and elaborate things Adam did to make the day memorable for me. I love my proposal story and Adam did a bang up job on it. Afterwards Harrison asked me, “Mom was that like a hundred million killion dillion days ago?” Totally cracked me up. “Yep buddy. It was.” Sure love these little ones!
