Our second day on our Princess cruise was a day at sea and a wonderful day to just RELAX and enjoy being together. We slept in that morning, took showers, and then spent a leisurely day around the boat reading our books, watching movies, taking walks, napping, and meeting new people. At lunch we met a wonderful couple from New York (Eric and Betty) who were living in Georgia who had been married for 25 years and had 3 teenage kids. They ended up eating lunch with us at our table and then we sat and talked with them for over 3 hours! We had a great time with them though and loved learning about their life and religion. we ended up running into them 2-3 more times during our 7 days on the cruise too which was really fun and even played ping pong with them on our last island. They were a really fun couple.
We ended up chatting with Eric and Betty until about an hour before dinner – so we rushed back to our staterooms to get ready for our big formal dinner that night at 5:15. We again ended up just eating dinner with Wayne and Melanie again – at a big table that was supposed to have 2 other couples. We still had a good time though. As is typical of Adam though – he ended up ordering some very DIFFERENT food on the Princess cruise (he loves trying new things) and a few times got some pretty nasty looking dishes. I can’t remember exactly what the one is below but I believe it had venison and some other meats mixed together. I love Adam’s reaction to it. đ
Later that evening we hit the last half of the after dinner show where we saw a comedian (who was pretty good AND clean) and then headed back to our room to go to bed early. Adam had wanted to take me dancing again – but I ended up deciding against it when my feet started swelling and wouldn’t fit into my shoes. Oh the joys of pregnancy! đ
