For as long as Adam and I have been married we’ve totally LOVED spending time with Adam’s favorite cousin Kevin and his wonderful wife Teri. We are all almost the same age, and just seem to really enjoy each others company and like a lot of the same things. So when Kevin and Teri (who have lived anywhere from Texas, to England, to Colorado) wrote that they were in town – we were all over trying to set up a time to see them!
We were completely overjoyed when we heard they were coming to Utah for Teri’s sister Charlas wedding and not only that – but that they too were planning on going to the Logan cabin – right before we were. So as luck would have it we were able to “overlap” our two trips for one evening so we could spend some much needed time together. As you can see from the pictures, it was a BLAST and so fun to be all together again! And we loved that Uncle Clint and Aunt Carol were there too so we could see them as well!
We started our Logan cabin trip out properly though – by eating dinner at El Sol before heading up the canyon. This is one of Adam’s very favorite Mexican places in the whole world!
Then it was up to the cabin for a fun night of meeting new 2nd cousins Will and Kent and playing games for the adults! Kevin and Teri introduced us to some good ones!
I may or may not have won both rounds of Bonanza (oh yeah!) – but then I was schooled in our next game where we had to match shapes. Uncle Clint was our favorite to watch in that game though and he kept us all laughing most of the night. Thanks Uncle Clint! He’s a ball to play games with!
The next day we all had a lovely breakfast together and then we moved our chairs outside and talked for hours about first dates, first kisses, and courting our spouses. We heard some great stories like how Uncle Clint got up on top of the roof of the cabin and confessed his undying love for Carol before even asking her out! ha. Or about Teri’s supposedly “forward moves” to get Kevin to spend time with her. So funny.
In the meantime this little girl was having a hey day in the dirt! She is such a little camper and loves getting dirty and one with nature! As you can see in the sequence below she was having a ball picking up dirt and attempting to throw it at people!
Just look at that mischievous smile!
Group shot!
The kids got bored of listening to us talk all morning and made up their own fun on top of the car.
King of the world!
who knew car windshields made such good slides anyhow?
Dawson had a different idea of how to spend his time and he made us all these beautiful heart ornaments which he promptly glued to the wall! We all got a pretty good kick out of it….such a 4 year old thing to do! 🙂
and luckily it came off the wall with a little bit of scrubbing.
Sure was a wonderful day spent with wonderful folks! Thanks again Kevin and Teri and Uncle Clint and Aunt Carol for inviting us up to spend the day with you. We sure love you guys!
