Today Grandma came over with some treats for the boys before she and I headed out for a little girls day of getting pedicures (a gift we had given her for Christmas). The boys were cleaning up a big mess they had made upstairs so I used Grandma’s treats to help motivate them. Harrison got his job done in a jiffy and got his treat of some gummy bears – but Dawson, as usual, just whined and cried that it was “too hard” for him to do his job. At one point (which was quite a bit later) I yelled upstairs again and asked, “How are things going Dawson? Are you done cleaning up yet?” To which Dawson responded with a big “No” and started whining again about how hard it was. Then in an effort to motivate him to hurry I yelled up, “you better hurry or Daddy might eat your treat. He’s really hungry.” To which we heard the reply, “No, have Daddy eat a sandwich!”
You may have just had to be there – but Adam and I were in stitches laughing at this matter of fact comment. Dawson certainly is the comic around here and often says the funniest things. We sure love having him in our family!
