Egbert Thanksgiving at the Cabin

This year for Thanksgiving we were SOOOO excited because for the first time in 3 years we were able to have Thanksgiving with the Egbert side of the family! Yay!
Mum and Smurf the last few years have gone to visit Adam’s brothers who live in Washington and Arizona for Thanksgiving so you can imagine how thrilled we were when we learned they were going to stay home this year!  We love spending time with them any chance we get!  We were even more thrilled to learn that Thanksgiving would be up at the family cabin in Schofield, and even more happy when we learned that Adam’s brother Tarre and his family would be up for the big day too! Saweet!
In an effort to extend our fun as long as we could – we headed up to the Egbert cabin on Wednesday afternoon (just as soon as Adam could take off from work) and then were able to stay until Friday morning.  The cabin is always such a magical place for us all to go and the kids especially enjoyed playing up in the loft, going on 4 -wheeler rides, playing in the snow, and building awesome forts out of the many many mattresses the cabin has in the basement!  It was a kids paradise for sure!
The rest of us enjoyed playing lots of board games like Perudo (Liars Dice), Sequence, Five Crowns, and Killer bunnies, and then there was of course a lot of puzzling, talking, playing in the snow, throwing ice at the lake, and watching You tube videos going on too (think the man on a buffalo).
It sure was a wonderful little 3 day get-away where we were able to relax, enjoy being with family, and remember the many blessings we have been given!  We sure do love the Egbert family!  Below are some pictures from up at the cabin.
Wednesday night dinner of Caesar Salad, fruit, shrimp, and BBQ wings.

Melt me heart! I just love how much Adam adores his little girl. 🙂

Reading was a wonderful past time as well.

Almost ready for the big feast!

Michelle and Court enjoying some down time before the big meal.

And then here is a picture of some POST Thanksgiving activities!  Napping, and snuggling up to a good book.  Does it get much better than that?

These two used their time to play games on the tablet.

We unfortunately couldn’t find many snow clothes that fit Adalynn this year so we had to get a little creative when taking her out on 4 wheeler rides.  I loved the get-up Adam put her in to keep her warm.  So funny!

Love the “glove boot.”  I think its going to be the new big thing in next years fashion! 🙂

This little girl sure does love her Daddy!

Life is good!  We are so blessed!
