Back in mid April we got a call from our good friends the Smiths inviting us to a play up in West Valley at the Hale Center Theater. It had been a looooong time since we’d hung out with the Smiths so we were super excited to be invited up. Layne and Bekah met and were dating around the same time Adam and I were – and we both got married within a month of each other. Adam and Layne were roomates too – so we all hung out quite a bit back in the day and truly just have a great time together! Love them Smiths!
My brother Luke was kind enough to take the boys for us so we made a date of it and headed up on a Saturday afternoon. We met Layne and Bekah at Laynes parents home – where we enjoyed catching up a bit and learning about grass, raspberries, and fertilizer and then we headed out to our play. “Father of the Bride” was what was playing and it was very well done. We all had a great time – although Bekah and I had to laugh when we got yelled at by Hale center employees twice within a few minutes of each other. The first time we got yelled at for walking on the set (we were trying to get to our seats without having make people get up and move for us). Then we started taking pictures of EACH other at the play – and I guess no photographs are allowed. We had to laugh! The play was awesome though and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Afterwards it was dinnertime so we took the Smiths out for some Korean food – which they hadn’t had before. They LOVED it – and so did we. We got really lucky with the restaurant we chose because it was AWESOME! Below are some pics from our date out with the Smiths! Thanks guys for having us up. We sure love you!
