Back in mid June the Harrison side of the family got together for our big 4 day family reunion. Jake and Stacey were in charge this year and did an excellent job. The location for our big event was up at Fish Lake and boy was it beautiful up there! Adam and I took up our new Tent Trailer and then we also had 3 trailers and 1 motor-home to fit us all. We took lots of hikes, went on 4 wheeler rides, looked at stars, played games, caught polywogs and snakes, played bean bag toss, relaxed on the hammock, and laughed until we cried. Stacey planned lots of fun activities as well for us -like an outdoor projector movie, and Olympic games, and then also had a mini store where the kids could earn beads and buy stuff for good deeds. Needless to say we had a BLAST and all had a great time. We sure missed Jess and her family though. Just wasn’t the same without them. Below are some pictures from our fun weekend.
The kids running around asking “what can I do to help?” to try to earn more beads to buy stuff at the store.
Playing in the dirt
Going on a walk
Love Harry’s Bed Head!
Nana and Papa
Even just sitting on the 4 wheeler was fun for the kids – but Harry took it a step further and decided to start it and rolled it backwards earning himself a day without rides and a 20 minute time out!
The kids loved going on short hikes around our campsite.
Adalynn enjoyed playing with toys on a blanket most of the trip.
And being dotted on by her brothers and cousins.
Papa – trying on Lukes hat with surfer hair! So funny!
Shannon’s parents came up too and were a hoot!
Unfortunately Branson got sick one of the days with what we think was either heat stroke or dehydration. He ended up throwing up several times and spent most of the day resting in the tent trailer. Poor fella.
Kollin the Cutie!
Nana and Papa took all the grand-kids who wanted to go on a hike one evening.
We hiked up to a tree where Luke had carved his families initials in the tree 2 years earlier. It read “Family: Luke + Shannon = Jazz, Tree, and Kollin Forever” and then had the date.
An action shot of Jake getting Luke and Adam with the silly string!
Luke getting sprayed
Stacey getting out some of the items from her “store” where the kids could turn in beads they had earned for prizes. This was a HUGE hit and we had the best behaved and most helpful children all week! It was GREAT!
Boy cousins!
On the last night Stacey did Harrison Family Olympics where she had bags full of different activities that we took turns choosing. We divided up into three teams and each team had to have 1-2 people participate in each activity. The below activity is a puzzle contest to see who can put theirs together the fastest.
Mummy wrap!
Contest to see who could throw three balls into the buckets on someones head the fastest
My Team!
Luke and Shannon had it out for each other the entire trip and were the source of much entertainment. From water being thrown on top of Lukes head, to Shannons face being smeared in hostess cakes, to silly string fights, to pink balloons. Never a dull moment between these two!
Lukes “pink balloon” courtesy of big brother Jake!
Stacking dice on a toothpick competition. Debbie did awesome!
The elephant walk game where you had to put nylons with a bat on your head and then hit a ball across a field first to win. This one was definitely a favorite to watch!
Baby bottle drinking competition…er to see who is the biggest best baby!
Tweezer competition to see who could take all the candies out of the cup the quickest.
Sure was a wonderful reunion and weekend away!
Thank you Jake and Stacey for all of your preparation and work. We LOVED it!
