Fun up Logan Canyon

After Uncle Clint and Aunt Carol and Teri and Kevin and kids left the cabin, Adam headed into work, which left the rest of the day for the kids and I do do some exploring.  We had fun driving all around Logan canyon looking for new treasures and re-discovering old ones and stopped occasionally for short hikes or to stretch our legs.  It was an absolutely beautiful day and so so fun to be out in nature.

I loved all the wild flowers in bloom and the colors they speckled the mountains with.

On the way back home the kids and I discovered a road we’d never been on which led us onto a dirt road which we took for some time.  However, about 15 minutes into our drive I noticed that our car was starting to over heat, so we immediately turned around, cranked the heater, and prayed we’d make it back to our cabin without incident.  Luckily the ol’ turn on the heater trick worked and our cars temperature returned to normal.  Sure had me scared there for a minute since there was NO sign of life on that dirt road for miles!  And walking for help with 4 kids in tow didn’t sound too fun.  We felt we’d received yet another tender mercy.

The rest of the afternoon we spent playing card games, watching movies, and playing in and around the cabin.  Sure was a fun day spent with the kids!
