Grandparents Day at Barnett

Back on October 3rd, Branson was able to invite his two sets of Grandparents to “Grandparents Day” at his school.  This is an activity that Barnett Elementary does every year with their 3rd graders that is a lot of fun.  Barnett normally invites the Grandparents to come and eat lunch with the kids at the school, but Mum and Smurf and Nana and Papa had an even better idea to go out to eat at McDonalds instead! Brans was even more happy when he found out that Mom and Dad and his brothers and sister would be joining him at McDonalds as well!  Score!
So after Happy Meals and french fries, we headed back to Branson’s school to watch the program all the 3rd graders had been working hard on for their Grandparents.  They sang lots of fun songs, told stories about their Grandparents (Brans told about going to the Winds with Mum & Smurf, and how Papa died on Adalynn’s birthday, and how he gets lots of treats from Nana and Papa) and then we got to watch a slide show with pictures of all the kids with their Grandparents.  Brans and I had sent in a bunch of pictures so it was fun to see them on the big screen and surprise both sets!  They ended the activity with cookies for all the kids and Grandparents!  Sure was a special day for Branson to honor and show love to the two wonderful grandparents he has in his life!  Thanks so much for coming Mom and Dad and Mum and Smurf!  It meant the world to Branson! 🙂
