Harrison’s 3rd Birthday

I am still in absolute SHOCK that my baby boy is really 3 years old! Where has the time gone? This morning I was telling Harrison the story of his birth and about when he was a baby and it just seemed so strange that he’s all big and grown up now! He is such a special and wonderful part of our family!

We started out the festivities FIRST by opening presents. Harrison was so excited he ran almost the entire way downstairs skipping! He was pretty spoiled this year and received a piglet teddy bear, bob the builder doll, 2 blow up palm trees, a bunch of water balloons, a slip n’ slide, Toy story figurines, a race track rug, some cars and airplanes, 4 dinosaurs, a little bear wearing a bee suit (he picked that one out), a shark wearing a life vest (another choice of Harry’s), a ninja guy, a water ball (that you put the hose in), some Zorro dress up clothes, and money.

As was tradition in my house growing up, the boys get WHATEVER they want for their birthday breakfast. After going through all the breakfast options like pancakes, french toast, cinnamon rolls, bacon and eggs, etc. Harrison very adamantly told us that the only thing he wanted for his birthday breakfast was CHOCKY MILK! So Chocky Milk is what he got! And 3 sippy cups full at that! 🙂 This kid is so funny about his Milk!

Just had to throw this cute one in there too of Dawson eating his breakfast!

After breakfast the kids and I got busy on making Harrisons cake. His request this year was to do a Toy Story cake. We first made Andy’s (from Toy Story) bed by using cardboard for the head and footboard and then covered 8 marshmallows in frosting for the pillow. Then we made up some blue frosting for the bedspread and covered it in sprinkles. Harry absolutely LOVED it!

Later on Mumsie and Smurf stopped by to wish Harrison a Happy Birthday!

The kids and I also took a trip to the store where Harrison wanted to spend some of his birthday money. He ended up choosing a bat, new shield, water gun, slimy snake, and some airplanes! Then we stopped by Wendy’s for some birthday kids meals for lunch!

Oh and let us not forget the balloons! We had to make a special trip for these!
He got three for turning three! 🙂

Then after naps we all jumped in the car for some more birthday fun! But we couldn’t go until we got a picture of Dawson hitting a new milestone! Today was Dawson’s first time getting to sit in his car seat FACING FORWARD! (at 18 months old) He was all SMILES getting to see everything from a new perspective!

Then we headed out to Orem to have a pizza picnic in the park!

My Mom and Dad met us there for dinner and cake!

To finish off the birthday fun we hit Chuck E. Cheese on the way home! (At Harrison’s request of course!) He’s been talking about going there for his birthday for at least 6 months now!

Branson won the Jackpot Bonus on one of the machines and scored 103 tickets!

Dawson HATED all the rides that moved, but LOVED all the balloons he found all over the floor!

We sure are blessed to have our wonder boy Harrison in our family!
Happy birthday little man! We love you!
