Hogle Zoo Field Trip with Harrison

On October 24th, Harrison was able to go on his first field trip of the year to the Hogle Zoo with his First Grade class.  Harry’s teacher Miss Zystra had sent home letters asking for Mom helpers at the zoo, and thanks to my wonderful Adam (who worked from home so he could watch the two younger kids for me) I was able to go!  Yay!  I can always tell it means a lot to Harry when I am able to spend that time with him.  He was just beaming the whole day!
Luckily I was able to drive up with 6 other Mom helpers who were just so fun and pleasant to be around.  I loved getting to know them all better.  Then once we got to the zoo we were divided up into groups and I was happy to be in a group with one of my good friends Erika Walker, as well as our favorite little neighbor Jacey Muir who is in Harry’s class.  Erika’s son Nathan and another little girl McKenzie were also in our group.  It was a great group!
We were ever so pleased as well when Miss Zylstra herself tagged along with our group all day!  It was so fun to get to know her better and I just love that Harrison has such a caring and wonderful woman to be his teacher this year.  We’ve really been blessed with getting good teachers for all our kids.  She was just a sweetheart and I could tell really loves her kids!  Below are some pictures of our fun day at the zoo!

We were lucky enough to see this Polar bear during feeding time and he came right up to the windows where all the kids were watching to eat his bone of meat.

Me and my little sweetie pie pants!

See what a great teacher Miss Zylstra is?  How many teachers do you know that go down the slide with the kids?  Love her!

Sure was a fun day at the Zoo with my favorite little Harry bob!  Thank you Erika and Miss Zylstra for letting me be in your group and tag along with you!
