Back towards the end of February Adam and I were able to get together with some dear friends of ours for a Fondue Night. Kimber and Eric were in charge of the evening and did a bang up job organizing everything which made for one SCRUMPTIOUS meal! To start out with we had two different kinds of cheeses with baguettes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and other veggies to dip. And had fun laughing at how stringy one of the cheeses was and how at times you could get your fondue fork almost all the way to the ceiling before the cheese would finally snap away from the bowl or how you would have to use several people to get a piece of cheese loose enough to eat it. It definitely required some team effort at times!
For our second course of our meal we did the meat portion where we had broths that we could cook an assortments of meats in. We all were able to sample portions of steak, chicken, and shrimp and all were SO tasty!
Lastly we did the dessert portion of the meal where we had a yummy toblerone chocolate with toffee chips and an almond bark white chocolate. Ummm good. Our dipping choices included strawberries, granny apples, grapes, brownies, cream puffs, marshmallows, cinnamon bears, pretzels, bananas, and salt and vinegar chips. I think we were all in heaven.
Mostly though our favorite part of the evening was just sitting and talking with friends WITHOUT out precious angels beckoning us for our attention. It was such a lovely evening of peace and quiet, laughing and smiles. Thanks so much Jurashics for yet another wonderful night! We love you all! đ
