A few weekends ago our wonderful Jurashic Eggs friends got together for another night o’ fun. We always have a blast when we are together with these peeps and ended up laughing the night away at silly things and inside jokes. We are going on now 5 years where we get together once a month and we LOVE it. But my have we grown. What started out as 8 has now turned into 18! We have definitely done our share of multiplying and replenishing the earth I think. đ And I don’t think any of us have closed the “no more kids” door either. It will be fun to see how we continue to grow.
Kimber and Eric hosted this months Jurashics night and did a theme of “New.” We were requested to bring a new side dish or dessert to share, try a new recipe, or use a new ingredient. Adam and I were pretty lame and just used “new” tomatoes picked from our garden to make a Mexican bean salad over spinach and tomato and cucumber salad. We were also requested to come dressed in stretchy pants and hoodies, but my yoga pants were in the wash and Adam’s didn’t own a pair. So I opted to wear my *new* boots and yellow shirt. And Adam opted to just come comfortable.
The Kerics made a wonderful meal of homemade chicken pot pies which I thought were AMAZING! Probably the best pot pies I’ve ever had. Then the Jurgens brought drinks and the Ashby’s brought two yummy desserts (berry pie and chocolate chip cookie oreo brownies which none of us could stop eating. Like usual we eat our weight in good food. And thats just the way we like it! đ
Afterwards we caught up by talking for awhile and then we broke out the “New”ly wed game and played a round of that. We had some good laughs in that game and had a ball trying to guess what each of our spouses would say. All in all it was a fantastic evening as usual. We love this group of friends so much! It was so nice to have a date night out together to laugh and relax.
Our wonderful hosts the Kerics (Kimber & Eric)
Collie and Gerald. We were so glad they could come!
The Jurgens (Joey and Missy) with new baby Henry hiding under the hooter hider. đ
Sure was a great night! Thanks Eric and Kimber for putting it together! đ
