For Memorial Day we didn’t really have any plans and so when we heard my parents were up at there Camperworld timeshare in Coalville we decided to go up and join them for the day. We took off around 11:20 and got there about 12:40 – just in time for lunch. On the drive up we told the kids stories about our deceased family members and about servicemen who fought for our freedom and why we celebrate Memorial day and had a good time reflecting on precious people and moments from our past.
We ended up meeting Mom and Dad at a place called the Polar King in Coleville where we splurged (still on vacation technically) and got chicken nuggets and fries for the kids, a bean and cheese burrito for me, and a Navajo taco and butterfinger shake for Adam. Ummm. From there we headed over to Mom and Dad’s sweet spot at their RV park to play in their pool, do a little fishing at the pond, and then have a nice dinner of homemade quizno’s subs, potato salad, fruit salad, corn on the cob, green beans, bean spinach salad, and my Dad’s yummy steaks. Yum!

At the Coleville Camperworld Swimming Pool
The boys had a ball in the kid friendly family pool that was only 3 feet deep.
Adam preferred the no kids allowed hot tub! Felt good after his 6 mile run that morning.
This little cutie adores her Nana!
This picture cracks me up because this was Adalynns reaction every time we tried to even DIP her little toes in the water. She would start crying and pull her feet up as high as she could. She has hated cold water since birth and freaks out every time you try to put her in it. She’s like a cat in water. Takes after someone else I know like that. ME!

After swimming we went back to where my Mom and Dad were camped where we talked, the kids did crafts and went fishing, and we had a nice dinner. Below was their view from their trailer.
We ended the night hearing stories from Mom and Dad about members of our family who have passed away and watching the beginning of the movie Hotel Transylvania (before needing to pack up and head home). Sure was a wonderful way to spend our Memorial Day Holiday! Thanks so much Mom and Dad for letting us come up and visit you! We love you!
