Midway Ice Castles – By Day and By Night

Back in January, Adam and I were in charge of our monthly night out with our Jurashics friends.  We had been hearing wonderful things about the Ice Castles in Midway and so we made plans to meet up there for a fun night of ice, food, and fun.  We totally lucked out though when we arrived in Midway because as we walk in we realized that Adam’s brother Dean and his family and and Mum and Smurf had also had the same idea!  So we got to go through the ice castles once with them and then once again once our friends arrived. It was so fun!  And we loved seeing the castles in both the day and the night.

After our awesome Jurashic friends arrived we went through the castles again, but this time discovered that the Ice Castles had a fun slide you could go down.  So those of us that could – went down.  Unfortunately though what we DIDN’T know was that when we were told “keep your arms in” it also meant keep them UP on top of your body.  Almost all of us banged our elbows on ice going down and in my case, I literally thought I’d fractured a bone or something because man oh man did it hurt.  So bad that at one point I thought I was going to pass out the pain was so intense, and all night the pain caused me to not be able to use that particular arm! But luckily by that evening all was well.

For dinner we went to an awesome Mexican restaurant that Joey and Missy suggested and that I found online with super high ratings.  It had quite the wait to get in but I don’t think any of us were disappointed after getting our food and taking advantage of the endless salsa bar.  AWESOME!  Sure was a fun night with favorite friends!  Thanks Jurashics!  We LOVE you guys!
