Another night while Adam was gone the kids and I got wind of a neighborhood fundraiser that was going on for Relay for Life runners trying to raise money for cancer. So we headed over to try to support our friends. They had lots of booths with fun things going on as well as food for dinner so we made a night of it. The boys loved being able to eat hot dogs, chips, and drinks since we’ve been trying NOT to eat those as much at home and are trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies. So they were in HEAVEN.
Harrison and Dawson spent most of the evening blowing huge bubbles and playing with water guns while Branson enjoyed playing with school friends and begging for money to do more booths!
Love this sweet little princess!
Funny story about the below picture though. I gave Branson some money and he decided to use it ALL at the fish toss booth. I was visiting with a friend from my ward at the time and not really paying attention to which booths Bransons was doing and came to find out later that Branson had won not one, not Two, but THREE goldfish! THREE!
Needless to say Brans was ECSTATIC and he ended up sharing one with each of his brothers!!! Unfortunately one died the first night we had it (Harry’s fish Spidee-man) which caused hours of tears and questions about the afterlife. But the other 2 goldfish (named Tony and Kite) are still hanging in there even though all we’ve been feeding them are cheerios! (I still need to make a trip to the store to get some fish food!) Branson was kind enough to share his fish with Harry too so now they have renamed the fish Tony Spidee. ha ha. So I guess officially the Egberts now have a PET! Adam and I aren’t super thrilled about our new pets – but the kids are enjoying them and we are glad they are happy! Now lets see if they can be responsible enough to take care of them! đ
