New Drapes and Shower Curtains!

Decorating the inside of our house has been a very slooooow process for me lately. After we moved in decorating and making our house look nice was my main focus. . . but I think after awhile I just got burnt out on it. So I haven’t really done much on the inside of our house lately and have put more of my time and attention into our yard (which I am finding I LOVE doing). I’m not sure if its the being outside in the sun that I love so much or working with my hands, but I am loving being in my yard and making it beautiful. From weeding, to mowing, to gardening and planting trees and flowers. Its just been so fun for me.

However, this week while I was shopping I finally came across some drapes and shower curtains that I thought might work in some of our rooms and so I started getting my decorating itch back again and now am wanting to beautify some rooms in our house and finish them off. Below is a picture of what I first had to work with when we moved in.

BEFORE – Yes, Smurf blue. Does the color give anyone else a headache? Yikes!

And now! Awe much more calming! And check out the new drapes I just got!

Its not quite finished yet, but its one step closer!

Our main floor bathroom (guest bathroom) is another room I’ve slowly been working on. This is the before picture when we first moved in.

This is what the bathroom looks like now! I absolutely LOVED the shower curtain I found as it matches perfectly with the color paint we used for the walls as well as the tile tub and floor!

And here is another view of the bathroom.

This is our Master bath which I’ve really have not done ANYTHING with for a long time (besides paint it the neutral brown you see). I found this shower curtain just this last week and decided to give it a try. I’ve literally bought and taken back about 3-4 other shower curtains and although this still isn’t my favorite, it is the best I’ve found and will have to do until I find another one I like better. My next project will be to find some cute matching pictures, and knickknacks.

Its a slow process but is coming along! 🙂

Slow but at least it's coming. I was so impressed with your house when we saw it last year…how put-together it was and having been VERY pregnant AND going to school during the move.

You must not like to sit still…you're always doing something!
    🙂
