New Years Day & Adam’s Birthday

On New Years Day my sister and her wonderful family came to our house for the weekend. The kids had a blast trying on all of our dress up clothes and pretty much over the course of the weekend had tried on every single dress, pair of pants, wig, and shirt we owned. We were entertained with many a different outfits. I wish I had gotten some pictures of some of them.

We started out the weekend with a yummy dinner of pulled pork mock Cafe Rio salads and burritos and then spent the evening playing “Your in the Movies.” The kids loved it and had a great time seeing themselves on the big screen.

Sunday was Adam’s 33rd birthday so we had one of his 3 cakes I had made for him. The first cake he enjoyed on New Years Eve with our Jurashic Eggs Group who were staying the night. It was a ice cream butterfinger cake made with peanut butter Fat Boys. Then on his birthday we had peanut butter and mint brownies with Jess and her kids. And then a few days later when we went up to celebrate Adam’s birthday with Mum and Smurf we had another butterfinger icecream cake with 3 layers of icecream and a cookie crust.

The kids loved the mint and peanut butter brownies and devoured them in minutes

Their faces were covered in pure delight!

For Adam’s birthday breakfast he got treated to his favorite meal of crepes and then got to open presents. He scored Dan Browns new “Lost Symbols” book and some rock climbing holds to build his rock wall in the basement. Later we took him to Sam Hawks in Provo for Korean food with our friends the Normans.

Happy Birthday babe! We love you!
