Back in January we had a dinner date night scheduled with our Jurashic group at the home of Kimber and Eric in Alpine. Unfortunately though poor Eric ended up getting sick so our fun night out got canceled. Boo hoo! đ Luckily our good friends the Jurgens were still up for getting together so we came up with a spur of the moment “replacement date.” đ
We started off our date by meeting up in Provo at a place called Cafe 300. Adam and Joey both got a ribeye steak sandwhich (at least I think thats what it was called) and I got a Turkey sandwhich which I think would have been wonderful had it not had HORSERADISH on it. Yuck! Needless to say it completely overpowered my sandwich and even after scraping as much as I could off, it still tasted heavily of the stuff. We would go to the restaurant again though but probably try something different or ask for the nasty radishes to be left off. đ
From there we went to BYU where we hit up the Art museum. We had fun looking at different exhibits and I especially enjoyed seeing the work of one of the sisters from my mission in there. Another highlight for us was when Joey noticed a couple breaking up and we plotted to sing them a “breaking up is hard to do” song. Unfortunately though the boys chickened out.
My VERY favorite part of the evening though was when we went into what I like to call the “balloon exhibit.” It had a whole bunch of HUGE silver helium balloons all in a smallish room with vaulted ceilings and was entitled something like “floating clouds.” It was an interactive exhibit so they let you play with the balloons and I loved running around like a crazy woman trying to keep all the balloons in the air. I had Missy and the boys in stitches with my quest to not let a single balloon touch the floor. đ It was a blast.
We also had fun running into one of my first “boyfriend crushes” from Junior High (Greg Sorenson) who I “went with” for a month after a church dance. That always makes for some non awkward conversations…uh hum.
All in all though it was a fantastic evening and we just adore any chance we get to spend with the Jurgens. They really are just incredibly undeniably uncharacteristically some of the most awesome people we know!!! We love your guts, faces, and toenails too Jurgens Circus! Thanks for a great night out!
Cute picture of Missy and Joey looks stoned. ha!
Adam trying to throw me over his shoulder (or something) and me resisting!
He finally agreed to take a normal picture! yay!
