So far today I have:
1) Put Harrison in a timeout for getting into our bathtub where he proceeded to dump out half of a FULL bottle of Baby Shampoo onto our Master Bedroom carpet. He KNOWS this is a big No-No.
2) Walked Harrison back to his timeout on the stairs (we do the naughty step from Super Nanny) 10 more times because he refused to stay there.
3) Strapped Harrison into a booster chair on the stairs in hopes the chair would help him stay in his timeout.
4) Took Harrison out of the booster chair and put him in his room in his pack n’ play (a safe place to have his tantrum) because he figured out how to flip over in the chair and then walk like a hunchback with the booster seat on his back.
5) Had to put up the child safety gate in his door because he kept getting out of his pack n’ play and trying to escape out of his room.
6) Held Harrisons bedroom door shut (since he figured out how to get over the child safety gate) until he calmed down enough from his tantrum to “talk about what he did wrong and how he was going to fix it.”
7) Gave Branson and Harrison a bath and had to mop up the floor from the cups of water Harry thought was fun to throw over the edge.
8) Experience another melt down from Harrison when Branson offered to let him wear his underwear and Mommy made him wear a diaper instead since he’s not potty trained yet.
9) Had to give Harrison another bath after Branson opened up the fridge for a snack and Harrison saw an opportunity to swipe his beloved maple syrup from the fridge and then proceeded to pour it all over himself and the floor.
10) Had to mop up the kitchen floor where the syrup got all over.
11) Had to throw Harrison in the sink and wash him down again and put a bandaid on him when we discovered his knee was bleeding (maybe from slipping on all the syrup on the floor?)
All this and its not even noon yet. And now guess what he’s doing?
Wow he's a busy little guy isn't he. I can't believe how these little posts crack me up. He's a cute little guy. I miss him so much. Wish I could offer to have him come to my house for a visit.
Gotta laugh at those moments. Your kids are adorable Sarah. Hope the family is well!
Awww! But he looks so sweet.
Uggg.. I hate overwhelming days! They never happen at opportune times either! I hope you give yourself a break after they go to bed!
