I just had to quickly write this down because it COMPLETELY cracks me up!
On Wednesday evening Adam needed to run to the grocery store to get a few things for my birthday. When he returned he had purchased eleven Digornio Pizzas. Yes you read that right, ELEVEN. (Mind you we also had quite a few other Frozen Pizzas already in the Freezer).
Ad: “I may need your Awesome organizing help in the Freezer department,” he says as I’m putting the groceries away in the kitchen.
Me: “Uh oh. What did YOU DO?” I teased.
Ad: “Um, I may or may not have bought 11 Pizzas that were on sale.” Big Smile.
Me: “Eleven?” Eyebrows raised.
Ad: “They were on sale!” Big mischievous grin.
So to the Freezer we went where we literally had to take out several shelves full of freezer goods, put the pizzas in, and then re-organize everything. It took us a few tries, but we managed to do it… by the skin of our teeth. I was certain that not a single item more could be squeezed in.
So today I had to laugh again when I went out to pick up our Winder Dairy order, and what did I behold in our cooler on the front porch? Um, you guessed it…FOUR MORE PIZZAS! Really? 15 Pizzas in 2 days? REALLY? I thought it was hysterical and couldn’t stop laughing!
I promptly instant messaged Adam at work BANISHING him from buying another pizza for at least 3 months, threatening to force feed him pizza for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner until all the Pizza was gone and my freezer once again had room in it.
Apparently, Ad was hoping to get banished from grocery shopping. đ
Not this time Buddy. I’m Way ahead of you. WAY ahead! đ
So despite my previous certainty that not a single other item would fit in that freezer, we have now successfully shoved 3 more Pizzas in. Although I did have to super glue, duct tape, and bungee cord the Freezer door shut! (Not really, but it would have made a an even better story!)
You may be wondering about what happened to the 4th Pizza though….Unfortunately, THAT Pizza did not survive the smashing, and THAT Pizza we will happily be eating for lunch today!
Oh and on a side note. Guess how many pizzas I counted total in my Freezer? EIGHTEEN. Yep. I’m pretty sure there will be a party at the Egbert House. Pizza is on us! đ
Hope you have a great birthday!
Oh Sarah, that is hilarious, and so something Burdette would do, he can't pass up a sale. I love the pictures!!
That is hilarious! I guess pizza's on you for our next get together? đ
I'm fired? Oh, No! You mean I never have to go grocery shopping again? Hmmm….
