I’m always really excited when Christmas time comes around and love the wonderful feeling that it brings. One of my favorite traditions we have in our family is to put up our Christmas tree and decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I love blasting the Christmas music as we do so and the whole family working together to put up tinsel, lights, and darling decorations. I love getting out our Christmas village and remembering each year when we got a certain piece of the village and why it meant something special to us that year. Our village has grown by leaps and bounds from when we first started it nine years ago and its fun to envision what it will be like in another 9 years. I love later sipping either hot chocolate or eggnog as we look around at all our hard work and smile at all the fun things that adorn our house. I love pulling out the nativity sets and hearing the kids talk about baby Jesus and the story of his birth. Its always just a really special day for me – full of wonderful smells, sights, and feelings. I so do love this time of year! Below are some pictures from our day.
