Relief Society Service Auction

This last Thursday our wonderful Enrichment committee put together a service auction for our Relief Society quarterly meeting.  We were all invited to either bring something we had made or a service we could do.  Upon arrival we were each given a questionnaire which determined how much “play money” we got or points.  And you would get points for things like kissing your kids goodbye that morning, or serving a mission, or doing your visiting teaching, or going on a cruise.  Most of the older ladies went away with the most points because you got 5 points for each child you had, and 5 for each grandchild you had as well and some of our ward sisters have a LOT of Grandchildren.  It was really fun.
Then Brother Gardner (our auctioneer) let us bid on each item.  And there were a lot of awesome things people donated.  Babysitting for 4 hours (I won that one barely by the skin of my teeth 5 points), homemade ear rings and necklaces, jams, canned goods, note cards, a crocheted scarf, breads, cookies, lasagna, dinners, and desserts.  It was so fun and we all had a great time.  We ended the night with ice cream sundaes.  Yum!
