Seven Peaks

Last week the kids and I also decided to take a trip to Seven Peaks to get some good use out of our Pass of all Pass cards.  I absolutely LOVE these cards because a) they are SUPER cheap and b) I don’t feel like I HAVE to spend all day at any of the fun parks in order to get my moneys worth.  We can just go for an hour and leave.  So nice with little kids.
We arrived at Seven Peaks about 7:00, parked south of the park where its free, and then walked the 1/2 block up to the park where we played for about an hour.  It was PERFECT! No big lines, hardly anyone there and the weather was cool enough that you didn’t have to be in the shade but hot enough that the water still felt nice.
We decided since Daddy wasn’t with us that it was best to stay in the super shallow kids area but Dawson isn’t particularly fond of water if Mommy and Daddy aren’t holding him so he was done playing after about 5 minutes and just wanted to sit with me.  So eventually we did end up going to the somewhat funner/deeper kids area where Branson and Harry preferred to play.  They even got Dawson to do down on one of the slides – but Dawson got a little ambitious and tried going solo on the second slide and freaked out when his head went under water.  He decided to stay by me from then on.  All the kids had a great time though and it was a fun thing to do to get out of the house that evening.  We can’t wait to go back again with Daddy!

Dawson’s reaction to being in the water without Mommy.  He’s not a fan!

So he just hung out with me by the side of the pool where we both put our feet in the water.

Branson and Harry had a blast playing together and followed each other all over the pool, playing tag, trying to swim (aka walk on their hands in the water) and get to one end of the shallow pool faster than the other.  Lots of races and competition between these too!
