The Redhouse Temple Sealing

This past Saturday I had the amazing and wonderful opportunity to attend the sealing of my friend and visiting teaching companion Terri Redhouse.  I had actually been Terri’s visiting teacher for about a year before they made us companions and it was actually during one of our visits out together where I discovered that Terri hadn’t been through the temple and that her family wasn’t sealed in the temple.  Terri’s son was getting ready to leave on his mission and she mentioned how she’d really love to be able to go to through the temple with him.  So when I got home that night I told Adam (who is our ward mission leader)  about my discovery and he was able to get the ball rolling by telling the bishop who told our ward temple prep teacher Jeff Muir who began teaching them on Sundays to prepare them to go through the temple together as a family.

So you can imagine my sheer JOY when I was able to go up and witness this special and wonderful occasion.  It was my first time seeing a family sealing done and my oh my was it ever precious.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.  So neat!  Afterwards we took some pictures out by the temple and then Jeff and Lori and I (who had carpooled up together) went and got a quick bite at the Garden restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith building.

Sure was a special day!  Thank you Terri for inviting me and allowing me to be apart of your precious experience!
