Time with My Papa

Whenever Adam and I go down to California one of our top priorities is to spend time with my adorable Papa Fodor! He is one of the most precious people in our lives and we love every minute we get to spend with him. We were able to convince Papa to come down to stay with us in our San Diego condo from Saturday through Monday and we felt so blessed to have his visit.

One of the things we like to do when Papa is around is EAT! Papa is the King of buying tons of yummy treats for all of us in his family and enjoys spoiling us rotten. We had everything from popcycles, to ice cream, to cookies, apple newtons, and candy and then Adam and I contributed ribeye steaks, hot dogs, green beans, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, spaghetti, and breakfast burritos. Needless to say we all eat WAY too much but had a great time doing so.

We got so many opportunities to hear about Papa’s life, his friends in the machine shop he used to work in, his triple by-pass surgery, and his blossoming relationship with his girlfriend Marie. Papa was so cute too and brought me a CD with a song that means a lot to both of us “The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane” (Listen to it if you get a moment its a super cute 50’s song). Anyway, it is always such a treat to spend time with my Papa! We love him so very much and feel so grateful and blessed to have him in our family. He is one very special man!
