Tremonton Camperworld

On Friday night we were pleased to have our wonderful friends the Kerics join us at the cabin. They got in pretty late (after the kids went to bed) so we just spent the evening catching up a bit on each others lives and then headed to bed around midnight.
The next morning we made some yummy breakfast burritos with OJ to start our day out, and then got dressed and headed over to Tremonton where my Mom and Dad were staying at their Camperworld RV park. As we drove in I just couldn’t help but switch to my cowboy hick accent as we were totally “out in the middle of no whares! wit da carn n’ harses!” We were totally laughing about the location. It truly just seemed like the strangest place to put a camping place.
Anyway, the nice thing about the RV park is that it had a GREAT natural hot spring and a 9 hole golf course that we could use. Unfortunately they wouldn’t let us take kids on the golf course. So those of us that brought swimming suits opted to take a dip in the warm pool. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon gabbing and eating lots of yummy foods in my parents posh trailer. My Mom and Kimber totally hit it off as did my Dad and Eric and both my parents later commented on how great of friends we have. We truly have been so blessed in that way.
Then later that evening we headed back to the cabin where Adam made us a nice fire, and then we roasted hot dogs, made corn bread chili, and eat lots of Kimbers yummy cowboy cookies. We ended the night by watching “Maverick” with the Kerics after my parents headed back to their RV.

On Sunday we all slept in a bit and then Adam and the kids and I headed into Logan to try to catch church. We went to a ward that we THOUGHT started at 10:50 only to discover that it actually started at 11:30 so we were WAY early. During Sacrament meeting Adalynn was due to eat – so I slipped out to feed and change her while Adam stayed with the boys. Apparently though Adam fell asleep while watching the kids – and Dawson slipped out of the chapel to come and find me only to get hopelessly lost in the halls where some poor woman found him and for 10 minutes tried to find someone that knew him. Luckily she thought to check the mothers lounge where we were happily reunited. I had to tease Adam pretty good about that one though when I returned to Sacrament meeting – where he was STILL snoozing away and had no clue his 2 year old son had been screaming in the halls lost as can be.

The rest of the day we spent swinging on the tree swing, playing ladder ball, going on treasure hunts (that Eric made up) and taking naps. We had Lasagna and fruit for dinner that night and then Eric and Kimber took off as they had to be home to work the next day. Adam and the kids and I stayed one more night though and then on Monday took off for home after stopping at Arctic Circle for lunch.
However, on the way home Adam asked if it would be okay if we stopped by my parents house where he said he needed to “drop something off.” When I inquired as to what he was dropping off – he told me “its a surprise.” Well it ends up that my lovely husband had conspired with my Mom to take our 4 kids for us for a few hours so that he and I could get out and celebrate our 9 year anniversary. Adam took me to one of my favorite restaurants Tempenyaki’s where we split a filet mignon and shrimp dinner with fried rice and noodles. YUM. Then we went over to Arctic Circle AGAIN – where we split a Huckleberry shake for dessert. Sure was a lovely way to end our weekend and made me just so grateful for the beautiful family and wonderful husband that I have.
