Vegas Baby!

On Sunday June 2nd, right after church, we started off on our first big family vacation of the summer!  That of driving down to California for the Egbert family reunion cruise out of Long Beach!  We decided since it was such a long drive that it would be better to break it up a bit for the sake of the kids (and mine) and so I booked us a one night stay at the the Circus Circus in Las Vegas.  We ended up leaving Payson around 5pm and then we made it to Las Vegas just before 10 pm but it took us almost until 11 pm to check into our hotel, bring in all our luggage, and get everyone dressed and ready for bed.  Needless to say we all CRASHED.  We were so tired.
We saw this beautiful sunset as we were driving and were amazed by how BIG the sun seemed.  Adam snatched these next few pictures.

The next morning we took things a bit easy – sleeping in until about 8:30 Utah time and then we all took baths and showers, packed up our bags, grabbed a quick breakfast at McDonalds before heading out for the 2nd half of our drive to Cali.  We ended up getting on the road about 9:30 Vegas time and then we arrived in Torrence, CA (where Adam’s Aunt and Uncle Hales live) around 1:30 or so.  We hung out and chatted with them a bit and then Uncle Cling and Aunt Carol were kind enough to take us  all (Mum and Smurf, Dean and Janet, and our family) over to the Long Beach pier where our cruise left and then they took all our cars home for us as well.  How awesome are they?  We sure were grateful for all their help.  Below are the few pictures I got of us in Vegas.
