Our second day in Paris I was again SO not feeling well, but I just couldn’t bring myself to sit at home and rest. I was in Paris after all (and who knew if I’d ever make it back) so I just decided to muscle my way through my sickness and do the best that I could, for as long as I could, but man almighty was my body fighting me every step of the way. I don’t think it helped either that both Adam and I were dealing with jet lag too. But needless to say there was a wee bit of grumpiness on my part, and I didn’t enjoy the day as much as I wanted to. Then later I really broke down being exhausted and tired, and ended up just going home, putting myself to bed, and spending pretty much the rest of the night on the boat. Not exactly the “romantic Paris getaway” I had envisioned, but hey, at least I got some of the rest my body so desperately needed.
We started the morning off right when we found a great little cafe that served crepes. We just could’t go to Paris without eating a true French Crepe, and so we were excited when we finally found a restaurant serving them. Adam got a bacon, egg, and cheese crepe, and I ended up with a nutella banana one. They were both out of this world good!

Afterwards we walked around the city for a bit trying to find the entrance to where we were hoping to catch a “water bus.” We had found a pamphlet in our room that advertised water buses for $12 Euros that dropped you off at like 8 or 10 different locations. It seemed a good fit considering I was SO not up for riding bikes (it had completely wiped me out the day before) and the water us went to most of the places we were wanting to go anyway. So it worked out well. FINDING the darn thing though became the task for the day and we ended up wandering around a bit before finally figuring out where to get on. Once we got that all figured out things mostly went really smoothly.
Our first stop was to see Notre Dame. We had actually also planned to go and see the inside of the Saint Chapelle Chapel that afternoon, but after seeing Notre Dame we were pretty sure there wasn’t a chapel in the world that could beat it. It was SO AWESOME!!!
I couldn’t believe the stained glass windows of Notre Dame or the enormity of the chapel itself. Seriously Incredible inside!
The outside details were just as detailed and impressive!
After Notre Dame we headed over to the Concierge Erie but opted just to see the outside – although we did get to see a smidget of the inside when we went inside to inquire about tickets. Sweet!
And a quick shot of Saint Chapelle!
More of Notre Dame!
And more love locks! Can you believe how out of control crazy this trend is getting??
Snuggling on the water bus. I LOVED that it was nice in warm inside. A welcome relief from the cold temperatures outside!
Our second stop was to go and see some botanical gardens. Unfortunately the gardens were very lacking seeing as its still winter in Paris, but we did get to see some pretty buildings!
I kinda love this guy!
A view of our water bus. Pretty nice!
The next stop on our agenda was to the world famous Louve! I wasn’t up for walking around for hours looking an art on the inside (although I would have loved to if I hadn’t been sick), but did opt to take some pictures of the outside. What a beautiful and impressive building!

Since all I wanted to do most of the rest of that day was rest back on the boat, Adam ended up going and exploring Paris on his own. He was able to see some neat things, but I have yet to get his pictures. So those will have to come later. Sure was incredible to see so many awesome places though and get to spend the morning with my guy! Paris rocks!
