West Yellowstone Condo

Thursday morning after all the Halloween festivities were over we woke up and were excited to get going on our long drive up to West Yellowstone.  Our plan was to leave right after breakfast at around 9am, but Daddy unfortunately woke up feeling sick that morning and then my brother Luke texted me to let me know he was cancelling his cell phone plan (which I’m on).  That left us scrambling to switch to another plan before we lost my current cell phone number which is on all our important documents, bills, and emergency contacts.  So since Ad wasn’t going to be much help with the lifting and packing of the car – I gave him the assignment of looking into new cell plans so that I could focus and attend to everything else.  Needless to say we didn’t end up getting out the door until 11am – almost 2 hours later than planned.  Oh well. 🙂
Our drive up to Montana was pleasant though with a few stops for gas and one at the DQ for lunch and we made good time.  We ended up arriving up in West Yellowstone just after 4:30.  Our dear friend Sister Wilding (who I served with on my mission to Slovenia) also met up with us at the condo as well as my awesome in-laws Mum and Smurf.  We always enjoy spending time with them.
After unpacking I got busy making dinner while Adam tried to rest on the couch still not feeling well.  I made Fettucini chicken alfredo with broccoli and green beans and then Sister Wilding brought out a marvelous homemade pumpkin pie she had made.  Ummm good.  Then we were off to the swimming pools where the kids got to soak in the hot tub and do back floats in the kiddy pool.  While at the condo we also enjoyed playing hot dice and sequence, watching the election news and cartoons (for the kids), jumping on beds, playing hide and seek, riding the elevators, playing games down in the rec room, and putting together a 1000 piece puzzle.  We love spending time together with family (that includes you Sister Wilding!) 🙂
Playing with the glow sticks Sister Wilding brought.  They were a huge hit!

Sister Wildings homemade pumpkin pies.  They were Soooo good!

We loved having Mum and Smurf join us!

The kids favorite activities were playing hide and go seek, going up and down the elevators, playing on the luggage racks, jumping on beds, and moving bed mattresses and sliding down them.  Crazy boys!

They also loved all the pool time.  Here they are enjoying the hot tub.

Little Miss and I got in on the first pool trip but opted out on the 2nd one.
We designated ourselves as the picture takes.

Someone didn’t want to smile for the camera.  Probably due to a missed nap. 🙂

Our 1000 piece puzzle we put together on Sunday evening.
