Back in early November (yes I am THAT for behind on my blog) all the girls on the Harrison side of the family got together for a little R&R weekend. Since we had so much fun the year before going up to our condo’s in Wolf Creek we once again decided to make Ogden canyon our destination. We kicked off our weekend by going to Tepenyaki’s in Lehi (Mom’s treat – thanks Mom!) and then we headed up the canyon. The first night we ended up just talking all night, gorging ourselves on yummy treats, going hot tubing, and then starting the first Twilight movie – (which got stopped mid movie because all of us had fallen asleep!) ha.
On Saturday my sister Jess and our family friend Mandy (who really is just like a sister) came up and met us all in Ogden where we went shopping at JC Penny’s, Walmart (so I could buy Halloween stuff at 75% off – yeah baby!) and Old Navy where my sister-in-law Stacey graciously allowed us all to use her 30% off coupon and I scored my first pair of skinny jeans (which I still am not sure I actually like). Then we went to the Olive Garden for hot chocolate, Diet Cokes, and some of their scrumptious appetizers and desserts and then headed back to the condo.
Unfortunately as we arrived at the mouth of Ogden canyon we came to find out that the road was closed but fortunately there was the worlds largest swap meet store (or something like that) where we could peruse a plethora of items. We all had fun looking at all the fun trinkets, clothes, and other unique items the store was selling. The funnest part though was when my sister-in-law Shannon decided to get her fortune told by a gentleman who was giving readings that day in a little back room that resembled a walk in closet. So all 5 of us squished into this teeny tiny room and listened to Shannon’s fortune which was surprisingly VERY accurate for what was going on in her life at that time. It almost made me a believer! 🙂
The rest of the night we spent back at the condo where we had homemade Cafe Rio salads for dinner and then played a game Jess had brought that was interesting. Then on Sunday we headed back home to Utah Valley where Shannon and I went to church with Stacey and heard her give a Relief Society Lesson. Then I was able to take off after that and go up to Highland to spend the evening with Lelia and her family (who had just gotten into town from Brazil) and the Bangeters (Lelia’s host family) who were like 2nd parents to me. It sure was a great weekend spent with so many I love! Sorry only one picture was taken and its too embarrassing to post!
