After our third night on Railay beach it was time to head out for our next big adventure. That of spending four glorious nights at a beach house on a small little fishing island called Koh Yao Noi. We arranged transportation between the islands with Amy from a local tourist shop – who we originally thought was a beautiful voluptuous Thai woman, but who we later came to discover was a male transvestite (after hearing her very masculine voice). Amy was one of the nicest people in the world though and helped not only helped us arrange all our transportation, but she was so cute with the kids and made them all paper airplanes, birds and turtles. She was amazing at origami! I actually would have loved to get to know her better and find out more about her story. The kids really liked her too, and it gave us the opportunity to have some good discussions with the kids about love and acceptance of others who are different from us or who make different choices than we would. How much better off would the world be if we all just treated each other with kindness and love.
Anyway, it was sure hard saying goodbye to Railay beach where we had made so many good memories, but we were all pretty excited for our new adventures as well. Below are some pictures we took as we were leaving the island.
Then once we reached the pier in Krabi, we were escorted to a nice air conditioned van that drove us to another pier further up North at Ao Thalane and from there we boarded another long tail boat to take us to Koh Yao Noi. The boat ride to the island was absolutely stunning!

Then once we arrived in Koh Yao Noi we loaded our bags onto a truck tuk tuk that took us out to our beach house. Pictures of the beach house coming up next!
