I know that this probably seems like a weird thing to hope for, but one of my biggest bucket list items while in India was seeing an Indian snake charmer with a cobra! Naveen our driver said that snake charmers are actually illegal now in India, so we didn’t have high hopes to ever come across one, but one day while Adam and I were out running errands we happened to come across some girls who had some Cobra’s off the side of the road that we could at least hold and look at.
At first I didn’t think the snakes the girls had were actually cobra’s because their heads weren’t flat shaped like they are in the movies, but Naveen explained that Cobra’s only flatten out their heads like that when they are in an aggressive state. Still it was cool to be able to see some cobra’s and just days before leaving India. Bucket list item checked!
We made sure to tip the girls well for letting us play with their snakes for a bit!
