If you were to ask me what some of the highlights were during our trip to Banff, I would without a doubt tell you all about Lake Moraine!! This lake was simply incredible and would probably count as the most beautiful lake I have EVER seen.
At first when you arrive at the lake, it doesn’t look that special, but as you hike higher and higher the color just gets more and more blue until you start to think your eyes are playing tricks on you. The color is just incredible and mixed in with tall glacier mountains, was the perfect combination of beauty. I could have stayed at this lake all day!
When we first got down to the lake we saw this big pile of wood in the water. You had to cross it to get to the boulders behind us if you wanted to get a good view of the lake. While we were attempting to cross, we saw an Asian man lose his balance and fall in, and the water went clear up to his waste! We were sure glad all 7 of us made it over without incident. đ
A nice man was kind enough to take a family photo of us! Sure love these cute people!
Then it was across the log lake and to the boulders for us. The kids LOVED climbing up this huge maze of rocks.
Notice the color of the lake? Here it looks sort of green blue, but watch how it changes later to be a brilliant blue.

The lake water was especially magnificent when the sun came out.
