For our second day on Railay Beach we decided to do a 5 island boat tour to some of the other nearby islands that we heard were just breathtaking. Adam’s cousin Geoff had just been to Thailand and highly recommended this tour, and it certainly did not disappoint.
Before going though we had a bit of excitement when we realized we left our camera’s memory card back in the hotel room! Noooo! Out of all the days to take pictures, this one was right there at the top of my list and I was instantly just so mad at myself for being so careless. Adam was my HERO though and offered to run back to the hotel as fast as he could to retrieve it while I “delayed” the departure of the boat as long as possible. And wouldn’t you know it…my hero came to my rescue and got on the boat at the last possible second. Whew! We really got close on that one!
Just as we were leaving we all had to laugh because a big rainstorm came in and pretty much soaked us all! Most of the passengers on the boat got out their towels and covered their heads or bodies to keep from getting drenched and because the rain and wind were so COLD.
Our first stop was to Bamboo Island which was a beautiful little island with a great beach, but because it was raining, most people headed for the trees to take cover. Our Canadian friends Max, Mary, Stephanie, and Jim went on a walk with us to explore around the island and then we all discovered that it was much warmer IN the water than outside of it. Oh how I love Thailand! So we spent the rest of our time on Bamboo beach playing in the waves and keeping warm!
Our awesome Canadian friends!

After our stop at Bamboo island we took off for Pirates cove which was a great little cove with lots of fun caves and beautiful turquoise water. It was amazing!
We didn’t snorkel or get off the boat at this stop, but did enjoy just cruising around in the boat looking at everything. Such a beautiful place!
