Although I left for India on a Monday, I actually didn’t end up arriving in India until 2 days later due to the time difference (India is 11.5 hours ahead of Utah), so my first day in India landed on a Wednesday. After Adam took me on a short sight-seeing tour of the city we headed for the Adobe office where Adam needed to put in a fulls days work. I thought originally I would end up just reading in an office or getting a chance to catch up on my emails, and blog posts, but it ended up that I ended up spending almost the whole day just talking with Adam’s co-workers and getting to know them better! What a fun group of people! I literally had such a ball getting to know each one and learning about their families. I never even got a single blog post written! I did find though that around 3:00 or 4:00 every afternoon that I would literally “shut down.” I’d be in the middle of a conversation and then all the sudden the jet lag would hit me and I would think, “man I need to go to sleep – like RIGHT NOW!” and I literally could barely keep my eyes open.
Once again Adam’s co-workers were amazing and were able to find me a “sick room” where I could crash for a few hours at the office. It took a security guard to open the office for me though and so the next day I just opted to sleep on the floor. Adam thought I was hilarious when he came into his office later to discover me curled up on the floor under his desk! We should have gotten a picture! đ
Below are some pictures of my time spent at the office over the few days we were there. What a great group of people!
It was so fun reuniting with Uncle Gaurav (on the left) and Uncle Rajesh (to the right). Sure love these guys!
Adam is known for always bringing in fun treats from America when he visits. He literally packs his suitcases FULL of every American candy (usually chocolates) he can find. Here Adam is showing the team how you can use blue colored Easter Egg candies as lipstick! His team got a kick out of it! đ
Group picture with everyone who wore their new Adobe shirts!
This picture was taken in the lobby of Adobe’s building. Again – check out those beautiful flowers! I love how they do this in India. So pretty!
One of the evenings we were at Adobe – Adam and I were pleased to be able to go out to dinner with one of Adam’s co-workers Umakant and his wife Jay. Umakant is the head manager over the Indian team and it was so fun getting to know he and his wife better. As we drove we got to see more festivals going on (again please notice that the entire sign is made from flowers) and then Umakant picked a wonderful Italian place for us to have dinner. Although I LOVE Indian food, I was grateful to mix things up a bit and have something American. My choice for the night? STEAK. Adam had a Shrimp Dish. Pictures below.

Adam with another AMAZING Mango drink. They sure know how to do drinks in India!
My bacon wrapped steak with vegetables. Yum!
Adam’s shrimp dish!
Later that evening I took a few pictures of our hotel as we were walking in. I hadn’t gotten a chance to appreciate the building being so jet lagged and tired the night before. It was really cool!
Sure was a fun first day in India!
