One of the things we like to do before getting ready for a vacation is to look out on tripadvisor.com for the best rated attractions in the area. Going to the Sun Road was the #1 rated attraction for Glacier National Park, and so it was of course on our “must see” list with the Andersons. And boy oh boy were we ever impressed!
I totally lucked out too when the driver insisted I sit in the front seat when he heard I tend to get car sick on curvy roads! Score! This not only allowed me to take quality photos out an open window, but it also gave me the best view of this magnificent place! And I had a great time getting to know our driver and chatting with him the whole way up. He was a retired banker that just loved being in the outdoors but had gotten bored of retirement and wanted to do something more with his life. So he drove shuttles for the National park during the week. It was fun to get to know his story. Below are some of the shots I got from my posh seat up front. đ
I honestly don’t feel like my pictures did this place justice because it was so so beautiful! But the pictures will at least help me to remember the awe and amazement I felt as we drove this beautiful road! There was no question in my mind why it was the favorite attraction in the park. It was just incredible to get to drive through this beautiful place!
